Hello Doug,

There isn't much to be enthused about yet, but I am finally making progress.  Paint stripper isn't actually cutting it, so it looks like I'll be getting on of those 8" mudpuppies I've been dreaming about for years.

Since the car was due to be crushed, I have a special "bond" with it.  I will send more pics as the work progresses.

Maybe the camera won't do the belly justice, but trust me, it's better than most people's stuff that's already on the road.

I tore the fender off and this is what was beneath.  It got me excited.  The other fender was trashed in the collision.  I was lucky enough to find an NOS one for only $250.  Pretty bad when you pay almost the same money for a fender as you do for the car.

The pic of the hood is the result of my great old Dad hearing a guy grumping about this 'glass hood he's been carting around for years of swap meets.  He didn't know what it was, and sold it to me for "60 bucks, no wait a minute, make it 40 and get lost."  A factory original stolen at National Trail Raceway Park for $40.

By all means, I would be thrilled to see it on your projects page.  Maybe it will help keep me motivated.

I will send more pics as the work progresses, and if anyone should ever want tech advice, I am always happy to be of service.  comet67@core.com
