1966 Cyclone- originally red w/white interior
MODS I have made are:
-Cut off shock towers at firewall installed a tube front chassis with ASA type race car suspension, steering.
-BAER racing brakes on all 4 corners,
-Narrowed 9" rear w/strange axles,
-Motorsport aluminum case,
-Motorsport full spool,
- cut inner wheelhouses and widened them so the look stock from underneath & in trunk,
- moved the gas tank rearward the 7" with the little filler moved in the front of tank,
- lengthened the gas filler (looks stock),
- installed an unequal length 4link in rear
- 325/50 Hoosier quick times,
- engine is a 511 inch 429/460 w motorsports block,
- steel stroker crank, Ferrea rods, Venolia pistons
- 10:00 to 1 compression, aluminum CJ heads (fully ported),
- highly modified Offy dominator intake,
- Barry grant modified dominator (now 1180 cfm),
- Engine is set back almost a foot with a new firewall also made.
- car has coil over suspension on all four corners, glass bumpers from Crites,
- steel teardrop hood (yes I said steel),
- engine dynoed at 700hp
- 6450rpm running 92 octane fuel with no additives, (713 on 108)
- I run a cobra jet C-6 (not stock) with a a-1 3500 10" converter,
- Car front bumper sits approx. 5 1/2" off ground...wheel base slightly longer, wheel track in front is adjustable approx. 1.0 inches so I can run slalom or road race,
- Has Weld racing rodlite wheels.
Car body outside will be 100% stock looking except for steel teardrop hood. This will be a daily driver for me when finished. Plans are for high 9's @140 or better in street trim.
