Doug Wardrope - Vocals and Guitar

What first got you interested in music?  My dad always played OLD early 60's country albums on our home stereo. Then I heard the John Lennon song #9 Dream followed by Linda Ronstadt singing "You're No Good" on the radio when they were on the charts and something clicked. Shortly after that I heard my first Beatles song - "Nowhere Man" I was blown away by it, but was saddened to hear that The Beatles had already broken up years ago by the time I discovered them in the mid 1970's.

Name some big name musicians that you have warmed up for or had an association to be around with otherwise. Please share those stories.

I said “hello” to Joan Jett backstage while playing bass in "Anthem" as the warm-up act in the mid 80’s. She ignored me as well as the remaining 2 members of the band and kept walking, never even bothering to lift her head to look at us.

I played with Rukus that was a Newport PA area band that was run by Joe Abbondanza that played with Dan Hartman (played in the Images album). He was a big influence on me and he is a tremendous musician.
